Jonathan Coehlo was only 32-years-old when he died of COVID-19 in April of 2020. He left behind his wife, Katie, his 10-month-old daughter, Penelope, and his two-year-old son, Braedyn.
While Jonathan was battling COVID at Danbury Hospital, Hearst Connecticut Media told the sad story of a panicked nurse who called his wife, Katie, at 3 a.m. on April 22, 2020, telling her that she needed to rush to Danbury Hospital immediately.
Katie was unable to make it in time from her home in Bethel because just before she arrived, tragedy struck when Jonathan died of cardiac arrest, and Katie wasn t able to kiss her husband goodbye. Later that same day, as she was about to scroll through photos on her husband s phone. Warning, you may end up in tears.

Dawn s Pizzazz in Danbury and Litchfield is hosting a Cut-a-Thon fundraiser on June 4 from 1 to 5 pm in honor of Jonathan Coelho who passed away on April 22 at the age of 32 after a courageous battle with COVID-19. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Jonathan Coelho Fund.

Jonathan fought for 28 days in the hospital and 20 days on a ventilator, he was so close to recovery when his body just couldn’t fight anymore.
Jonathan was the most amazing husband to his wife, best friend, and soulmate Katie for 10 years. He loved the life they had built together, but his most cherished accomplishments were his two children Braedyn (age 2) and Penelope (age 10 months). His son Braedyn was born with several medical complexities including cerebral palsy, Jonathan and Katie took such pride in providing Braedyn wi
