But now findings are set to reveal Woods was speeding when he lost control of his SUV and that caused the crash
Woods suffered serious injuries in the February 23 crash when he struck a raised median at around 7am in Rolling Hills Estates, just outside of Los Angeles

Tiger Woods was driving at an excessive speed before he crashed his vehicle in February, but authorities don’t know if he was conscious when he lost control of his vehicle that day, the Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department announced Wednesday.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Woods was traveling more than 82 mph in a 45-mph zone and instead of braking was actually accelerating prior to impact, according to data received from the black box recorder of Woods’ loaner Genesis SUV.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Woods was traveling at an estimated speed of 84 to 87 mph at the first area of impact in the collision sequence. Instead of braking, Woods was actually accelerating prior to impact, according to data received from the black box recorder of Woods’ loaner Genesis SUV.
Asked if Woods made a conscious effort to avoid the accident, Captain Jim Powers stated, We don’t know that.

LOS ANGELES Tiger Woods was driving more than 80 mph nearly twice the posted speed limit on a downhill stretch of road when he lost control of an SUV and crashed in a wreck that seriously injured the golf superstar, authorities said Wednesday.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva blamed the Feb. 23 crash outside Los Angeles solely on excessive speed and Woods’ loss of control behind the wheel. The athlete will not face any citations for his third high-profile collision in 11 years.
