Celebrating its 69th edition, Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has revealed its 2021 program, with an astonishing lineup of 283 international and Australian films and transformative screen experiences. Presenting 199 feature films, 84 shorts, and ten XR experiences, the program includes 40 world premieres the most in the festival’s history and 154 Australian premieres, with 62 films available on MIFF Play the festival’s online screening platform.

Machias Savings names its fourth new regional chief

Machias Savings Bank on Thursday announced the final new appointment among four new regional senior vice presidents, part of a leadership restructuring unveiled last month to stay local while pursuing growth. Jack Lufkin, previously with NBT Bank as vice president, senior commercial relationship manager, will serve as Machias Savings Bank s regional senior vice president for the southern market, which includes Cumberland County. He will oversee the region s commercial and retail banking teams. Lufkin is treasurer of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, whose board he has served on since 2007. He also served as president of the Portland Community Chamber from 2017-19.
