Three parents of youths fined after continued Covid breaches and anti-social behaviour

Picture: GOOGLE THREE parents of youths have been issued with Covid fines today, (Friday), following continued Covid breaches and antisocial behaviour near to Sainsbury’s on Westbury Street in Thornaby. The fines were issued by Stockton Neighbourhood Team after the parents of the youths were previously spoken with and issued warnings about their children breaching the regulations by repeatedly meeting with other youths and causing antisocial behaviour. The fines are a result of failing to ensure that the children were compliant with current regulations.   Three initial warnings were also issued to other youths, and their parents will be spoken with.

Warning to parents of teenagers using e-scooters dangerously

E-scooter POLICE officers from Stockton Neighbourhood Team have noticed an influx of teenagers using E-scooters in Thornaby dangerously. The E-scooters are being ridden in the town centre, Mandale and Victoria ward areas of Thornaby since the festive period and police are concerned over the dangerous manner in which they are being used. A number of youths have been sighted weaving in and out of traffic on busy roads on privately owned E-scooters, with no helmets or lights on. Stockton Neighbourhood Inspector Jon Willoughby said: “There have been a number of incidents whereby youngsters have been seen using E-scooters in a dangerous manner and it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt.
