Final Table Action
Even though Shakerchi came in as the shortest stack, he managed to grab two pay jumps as Volkmann and Loeliger both busted before him. Loeliger was left short when he doubled Salas up who then took out Volkmann with pocket aces. Loeliger then lost the remainder of his stack to Malinowski. Shakerchi managed to double up through Malinowski but then gave them all back to him when he ran his pocket kings into the ace-ten of his opponent. The ace on the turn meant that Shakerchi s hopes of a sixth SCOOP title were over.
Vogelsang was then shot down by Muehloecker as he held pocket sevens but Muehloecker had turned trips which held on the river. The chip lead went back and forth for a while between Salas and Rudolph while Day 1 chip leader Van Fleet was not doing too well. In the end, he got all his chips in on the turn with the open-ended straight draw but Muehloecker s top pair became trips on the river to send Van Fleet to the rail.
