CellPath, based in Newtown, Mid-Wales, will used the funding to support  its growth plans in both the UK and international markets, as well as creating a fourth warehouse at its headquarters.

Newtown company set to expand after seven-figure backing

A Newtown healthcare manufacturer is set to expand after receiving a seven-figure finance package to support its plans. CellPath, which employs more than 100 people in making and supplying products and services to the global cellular pathology sector, is to extend its premises, creating a fourth warehouse at its headquarters. The new 12,000 sq ft warehouse will see the capacity of the premises increase by 15 per cent, allowing the company to further expand its products and services into both the UK and international markets. The family-owned company s plans have been backed by a seven-figure funding package from HSBC. The extension will also see the opening of a new staff welfare facility including a canteen, cafeteria, recreation room and extra meeting rooms.
