Riders of the B41 complain of long wait times and slow service on crowded Flatbush Avenue. Some believe the implementation of a dedicated bus lane is a must, while others want more busses to run.
City lawmakers say the investment could usher in sweeping changes to the streetscape – including 500 miles of protected bike lanes, 500 miles of bus lanes, and 38 million feet of open pedestrian space.
The latest proposed changes are less drastic than those offered by transit officials in December 2019, and will likely be tweaked in the coming months as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks public feedback through 14 online workshops from April to June.
