Good Samaritan rescued man from thuggish robbers demanding £70
Michael Kelly and Michael Green appeared at York Crown Court to be sentenced
Kelly and Green have been jailed
Two Hull men have been jailed for a vicious robbery in Whitby in which the victim was kicked in the head and body while laying helpless on the ground.
A Crown Court judge said the attack was so brutal the victim could easily have been killed were it not for the intervention of a member of the public who witnessed the dreadful scenes from his bedroom window.
The robbers - 32-year-old Michael Kelly and Michael Green, of Phoenix house, High street, Hull, also 32 - appeared for sentence at York Crown Court on Wednesday after admitting robbery.
