Long waiting lines and a chaotic ticket counter this was how I was welcomed at the night show of “Poran” at Star Cineplex in Bashundhara City. Being one of the most awaited productions, I had high hopes from this film, especially after the title track “Jolere Poran”, featuring Sariful Razz as a ravishing ruffian, was released.
Bidya Sinha Mim is on cloud nine with fantastic response on her latest film “Poran”. The Raihan Rafi directorial film was only released in 11 halls; but it has already become housefull in many places across the country.
This Eid-ul-Adha three new movies are set to be released, all of which have had massive budgets. Two of the movies “Din: The Day” and “Poran” have already received clearance from the censor board while the third movie, “Psycho”, is likely to get it by today. “Din: The Day” having a budget of BDT 100 crore, while “Poran” and “Psycho” each had a budget of BDT 60 lakh.
