Quarantined police cruiser still off limits after doves hatch near hood
CARROLLTON, Texas (KTVT) A pair of dove eggs on a Carrollton Police SUV, the department has been protecting for the last three weeks by keeping the vehicle out of service, have hatched.
We aren’t really sure exactly when they were born because momma keeps hiding them under her wings,” Carrollton Police spokesperson Jolene DeVito told CBS 11. “We suspected they’d been born over the weekend, but yesterday was the first day both she and dad totally vacated and gave us a peek.”
On March 30, police noticed a dove built a nest and laid a couple of eggs between the windshield and the hood of the SUV parked at police headquarters.

A 10-year-old girl was found safe at a motel after she went missing overnight and an AMBER Alert was issued Wednesday morning in her disappearance. Her mother, Maria Romero Ramos, was found dead by a roommate, Carrollton police said.
Police added that the girl s father, Ronald Lee Singer, is now in custody. He is her mother s ex-husband and has been arrested on a murder charge in connection to her death, according to police.

The girl had gone missing after Singer picked her up from a friend s home around 10 p.m. Tuesday, police say. When he showed up, the family she was with did not know the circumstances, and she left with him.
An amber alert was issued Wednesday after Rosemary Lee Singer, left, went missing. She was later found and her dad Ronald, right, charged with murdering her mom.
