Vilar Center at Beaver Creek presents 2 evenings with JoJo Hermann and Jerry Joseph this weekend

Special to the Daily JoJo Hermann and Jerry Joseph are probably best known for their involvement with Widespread Panic, but their rich musicianship extends far beyond the jam. Hermann’s New Orleans’ piano boogie-woogie songwriting style stems from some of the most legendary New Orleans players specifically Professor Longhair and Dr. John. In addition to playing keys for Widespread Panic since 1992, Hermann has made a name for himself with his lead vocals on many New Orleans’ style jazz and blues covers, as well as originals. His side projects include JoJo and His Mojo Mardi Gras Band and a group that includes Luther and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars.

The ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 14, on CBS and Paramount+ will go without a red carpet or live audience, with the show paying tribute to music venues impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vilar Center s spring lineup finalizes with performers from Widespread Panic, California Honey Drops, The Motet

The Vilar Performing Arts Center announced the final performers for the winter artist-in-residence lineup, a program dubbed The Residency, through March and April. The limited-capacity, socially-distanced concerts have allowed participants to see exclusive collaborations and intimate sets. Tickets are on sale today for An Evening with JoJo Hermann and Jerry Joseph (four shows) on March 12 and 13; California Honeydrops (four shows) on March 26 and 27; and The Motet (six shows) on April 1, 2 and 3. Concerts at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, including this one with The Infamous Trio, are allowing up to 100 socially-distanced guests to comply with social distancing measures.
