Hanif lashes out BNP leaders for their incompetence, failure

DHAKA, Jan 09, 2021 (BSS)- Awami League (AL) Joint Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif today said BNP leaders are criticizing the massive development of the incumbent government due to their (BNP) incompetence and failure.
Addressing the BNP leaders, he said, “In your time (tenure), corruption was institutionalized. Your leader Tarique Rahman introduced the ‘commission trade’ by constructing Hawa Bhaban. BNP leaders are now criticizing the development of the government because of their incompetence and failure.”
Hanif made the remarks at a discussion organized by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sontan-Projanmaat Oikya Jote at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity in city’s Segun Bagicha area.
Hanif urges all including imams not to misinterpret sculpture issue

KUSHTIA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Joint Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif today urged all concerned, including imams of the mosques, not to misinterpret the ongoing sculpture issue.
“Various misinformation and misinterpretations about sculpture are being used to create confusion among the people. You should make it clear during your sermons in the mosque that sculpture is not in conflict with Islam. I do not want misinterpretation on this sculpture issue that goes against the country,” he said.
Hanif made the remarks while addressing a view exchanging meeting with imams and ulama of the mosques at Kushtia Municipal Auditorium here.
