Unions demand suspension of face-to-face classes in Costa Rica
San Jose, Apr 7 (Prensa Latina) The unions of the education sector demanded on Friday to Costa Rica s Ministry of Public Education (MEP) to suspend face-to-face lessons, and go to distance learning until the current Covid-19 crisis defuses.
In February, the MEP started the 2021 school year using blending teaching a mixture of face-to-face-and virtual modality, but now, in view of peak of Covid-19 cases, the unions demand to only choose online classes.
The petition, disclosed in social networks, is signed by the Association of Secondary School Teachers, the National Association of Educators, the Union of Educators of Costa Rican Education and the Union of School Canteen Workers and Related.
