"When we talk about relinquishing control over assets, what also happens is that after she gets married, she does not often ask questions about what is being done on the investment front. LELAND The Town of Leland announced it is considering an agreement with Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer, better known as H2GO, to consolidate the utilities of the two water providers “[i]n the spirit of cooperation and unity.”
Since late 2017, the two have been involved in an often contentious, multi-million-dollar legal battle over H2GO’s assets in northern Brunswick County, which also involves the nearby town of Belville. Leland and Belville have
fought over the rightful title to H2GO since the latter’s outgoing board members transferred all of its assets to Belville on Nov. 28, 2017.
