Uniindia: Gangtok, April 11 (UNI) Members of the Joint Action Council (JAC) have reacted to the Government Resolution passed by the Sikkim Legislative Assembly on Monday.
An activist was assaulted while protesting against income tax exemption to old settlers in Sikkim. The incident sparked violence in Singtam, prompting the authorities to banned large gatherings.
As part of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha s (SKM) flagship programme for mothers (housewives), the Sikkim government distributed Rs 20,000 each to 16,000 mothers of the state in Pakyong district on Friday.
The coordinator of the Joint Action Council of Tamil Nadu Teachers Organization and Government Employees Organisation (Jactto-GEO) on Sunday said that Chief Minister MK Stalin had deceived and betrayed trust of the people of the state by not fulfilling promises.
