Arizona Governor Under Fire Over Video Of Son Partying Maskless At Crowded Indoor Event
Republican Gov. Doug Ducey has urged constituents to wear masks and stay home to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) is under fire after a video circulated of his son partying inside a crowded venue without wearing a face covering or social distancing. His state leads the nation in daily COVID-19 cases per capita.
Jack Ducey, 25, attended a bash where dozens of guests drank and danced without masks, according to footage shared on social media.
The footage was posted to Ducey’s now-private Instagram page on Dec. 30, according to The Arizona Republic.
“Any time you start a big program, there’s always glitches. I think the glitches have been worked out,” the nation's top infectious disease expert said.

GOP members in a joint session objected to certifying electoral results from Arizona, which Biden won. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) objected to certification of the electoral votes from his state, to Republican applause. He was quickly joined by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
