Moderated by May Cobb, this event promises to be a thrilling evening of literature and conversation! More Than You'll Ever Know is an evocative drama about a woman caught leading a double life after one husband murders the other, and the true-crime writer who becomes obsessed with telling her story.
Luminescence and Grit: An Evening with Gemini Ink Teaching Artists, followed by a Community Open Mic Join Gemini Ink on Thursday, September 21st, for a night of poetry, prose, and performance as we celebrate the personal artistry of the Gemini Ink Partner Class teaching artists. Every day these instructors bring their passion for the writing arts to community spaces and inspire students of all ages. Tonight we hear their stories! Thd featured writers will include theater artist and playwright Marisela Barrera, accomplished poet and educator Jim LaVilla-Havelin, award-winning fiction writer Desiree Kannel, and local poet and member of the Wyrdd Writers collective Annie Snider. Following the featured reading, there will be a community open mic.

The Family Izquierdo has been hailed as a "masterful debut" and was longlisted for the PEN/Faulkner Award. This tender narrative weaves together the lives of three generations of a Mexican American family bound by love and a mysterious curse.
The Big Texas Read featuring Allison Hedge Coke Join Gemini Ink as they talk with 2022 National Book Award Finalist Allison Adelle Hedge Coke, author of the book-length poem, Look at This Blue. Acclaimed poet and memoirist Jan Beatty will moderate this session. Interweaving elegy, indictment, and hope into a love letter to California, Look at This Blue examines America’s genocidal past and present to warn of a future threatened by mass extinction and climate peril.
In the Company of Spirits & Dreams: A Night of Poetry with Sheila Black & Friends Join Gemini Ink for a night of poetry and literary celebration as it partners with Poetic Republic Cafe to create an inviting space for the writing community to share words, wine, and wisdom, with a little latte or espresso on the side. Get inspired by the mesmerizing worlds of three poets, each with their own ferocity of voice. A community open mic follows the featured reading.
