Ms. Misti Ranee Oakes, age 44, of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
She was born July 1, 1976, the daughter of Linda Seeley Claven and the late George Oakes. Misti was employed for many years by Excel of Johnstown. Misti enjoyed animals, cooking, and family. She got great pleasure out of putting smiles on other people’s faces. She will be forever remembered for calling people “Mama” or “Honey.” She was continuously kind, always spreading positivity and happy thoughts, and had the biggest heart. Her pride and joy, and greatest accomplishment was her son, Matteau. In recent years, she has been the primary caregiver to her grandfather and mother.
