A fire has destroyed a large shed containing a crop of Timothy hay northeast of Taber this weekend.
Crews from the M.D. of Taber Regional Fire Service say they arrived at the property, owned by Johnson Fresh Farms, 10-kilometres north of Fincastle in the early Sunday morning hours to find the structure fully involved. Defensive operations were initiated and exposure protection was undertaken until the threat of fire spread to adjacent buildings and forage bales was reduced.
