Well I think by that time, we re gonna have a decision. Now I don t want to get ahead of the CDC and the [Food and Drug Administration] and the advisory committee, but I would imagine that what we will see is that it would come back and it would come back in some sort of either warning or restriction, Fauci said. Again, I don t know. I don t want to be ahead of them, but I keep getting asked that. I do think we will get it back in some manner or form, but would I m sure I hope that we don t see anything extended beyond Friday we need to get . some decision one way or the other, Fauci added.

Extremely rare cases of blood clots are hampering the rollout of two COVID-19 vaccines that Canada has purchased, as the country recorded its first case of the side effect from the AstraZeneca injection and the U.S. suspended use of the Johnson & Johnson version.
On Tuesday, the United States temporarily stopped its use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine while it investigates reports of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals who received the single-dose shot. Similar blood clots have also been reported after the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. Both shots use the same vaccine technology, called adenovirus vector.

Washington: Top US health authorities recommended a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine out of an abundance of caution as they investigate any links between it and blood clots, a regulator said Tuesday.
The US Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control are assessing the potential significance of six reported cases of a rare blood clot in patients who have received the shot, the FDA tweeted.
