As the News Journal previously reported, Rombach Avenue Improvements Project begins at the intersection of Fife Avenue and Rombach Avenue and terminates at the eastern corporation limit at Starbuck Road.
Lane closures begin on Monday for Columbia Parkway rehab project
A six-month rehabilitation project on U.S. Route 50 between Delta Avenue and William Howard Taft Road is set to begin on Monday, according to the Cincinnati Department of Transportation and Engineering.
Officials said through traffic will be allowed as crews work on the roadway, but drivers should be prepared for various lane closures.
Crews will be working in multiple lanes through next Saturday, beginning in the far eastbound lane of Taft Road and moving toward Delta Avenue, according to a release.
Traffic control devices, such as an electronic arrow board, will be stationed ahead of the work zone, officials said, adding that Cincinnati police will also assist with directing traffic.

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio â Middletown City Council members unanimously passed emergency legislation tonight to allow a Cincinnati-based paving company to begin repairing more than 100 lane miles in the city.
Two contractors submitted bids on March 23 for the project. John R. Jurgensen Co. submitted a bid of $26,380,962.95 which is 8 percent lower than the engineerâs estimate and 4 percent lower than the other competing bid from Franklin-based Barrett Paving Materials Inc.âs bid of $27,450,630, according to the city.
Under Ohio law an injured worker is not eligible for workers' compensation for a psychological condition unless it arises from their physical injury. Ohio HB 308 would allow first responders to receive benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder due to on-the-job factors.

Effective January 9, 2021, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 308 to create a fund for post-traumatic stress disorder for first responders. This is defined as “paying compensation for lost wages to a public safety officer who is disabled by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) without an accompanying physical injury received in the course of, and arising out of, employment…” This fund is to cover medicine, hospital bills, therapy, and compensation for PTSD in the absence of an accompanying injury. It is worth noting that under the current legislation, Section 126.65(D), “there shall be no payments made from [the fund].” At first glance, Section D directly negates any payments to anyone otherwise eligible. However, this legislation is merely meant to open the door to future eligibility of compensation and benefits. Once funds are made available, this section will be amended to provide for such benefits a
