Things had not started well for Dejan Radonjic in his second stint with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. Zvezda came off a bad loss in the Adriatic League, 85-65, against Ikogea Aleksandrovac. Coach Radonjic managed to turn the situation around in less than 72 hours, as Zvezda defeated Panathinaikos OPAP Athens 74-71 at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.
Zvezda improved in aspects not always shown in the stats. The team came out with the right mentality, diving for loose balls, playing with high intensity and being focused at all times. It did a great job of using non-shooting fouls to avoid easy baskets and that allowed Zvezda to get a double-digit lead that eventually led it to victory.

When head coach Dejan Radonjic leads Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade onto its home floor against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Game of the Week on Wednesday, he might hope to take a page out of the Greens book.
Radonjic returns to the team with whom he made his EuroLeague debut, hoping to help ignite a Zvezda side that has lost six of its last seven games. In each of the past two seasons, his opponent tonight, Panathinaikos, made a mid-season coaching change and got spectacular results.
