Tullamore’s Jack Brophy celebrated a milestone 100 birthday on Friday last, when family, friends and old neighbours sent well wishes to the latest centenarian from Marian Place.
The father of eleven was joined by his family for a quiet celebration in Moate Nursing Home to mark the occasion, where a presidential cheque was also presented to the centenarian.
Jack Brophy has been a resident of Moate Nursing Home since January of 2018. Prior to that he spent over 72 happy years living in the Marian Place in Tullamore with his beloved late wife, Kathleen (Freer) from Clontarf Road.
