Local 4-H receives grant | Marshfield Mail

Every year, the Missouri Farmers Care Foundation and Missouri 4-H collaborate to educate and raise public awareness of food insecurity in families. To bring that awareness, 4-H clubs all around the state participate in a competition called 4-H Feeding Missouri every spring. The competition includes food drives, collecting donations, and volunteering in local food pantries. Between community service and friendly competitions, this partnership helps combat hunger statewide.

New application, more scholarship opportunities

As the new year starts, so does the second half of the school year. It will be the final semester for high school seniors before they venture out into the real world; some will join the workforce, and others will go on to college.

A small crowd gathered in a field just outside of the Mercy Clinic off Spur Drive and Highway OO on Thursday, Jan. 4, for the official groundbreaking ceremony of Jordan s Place. The brisk afternoon did not affect the positivity of the ceremony, which was kicked off with an opening speech by Danielle Boggs, Webster County Public Administrator and Board Secretary for both WC CapeAbilities and WC Partners.
