These vaccines, are "formulated to more closely target currently circulating variants (Including Omicron variant XBB.1.5.) and to provide better protection against serious consequences of COVID-19, including hospitalization and death," according to the FDA statement found on their website. Everyone six months and older is recommended to get the updated vaccine.
