It’s always better to give than to receive.
Shell Scotford employees agreed with that mentality this holiday season as they agreed to donate funds that would typically pay for the site’s traditional holiday parties. At $50 per employee, that raised more than $58,000, which is being donated to 18 local charities.

“Our employees were really receptive to the idea of donating $50 per employee in lieu of their traditional parties. This year has had a lot of challenges, many of which are making this holiday season even more difficult for our local organizations and the people they serve. Many of our employees expressed that they had heard of long lines at the food banks and in general the client population of many of these charities was growing due to COVID impacts. We are grateful to have the opportunity to hopefully ease that burde
