CANFIELD After four years of partnering for administrative services, the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Choffin Career and Technical Center will amicably part ways.
The Youngstown City School District and MCCTC “have had a great working relationship,” said city schools CEO Justin Jennings. “That partnership and relationship will continue in other projects. We’ve reached a point at YCSD where we want to serve our Choffin scholars more in-house.”
There were three principals at Choffin who were employees of MCCTC. Youngstown schools also paid a portion of the salary of John Zehentbauer, superintendent of the MCCTC, for him to do some supervisory tasks at Choffin.
