Sweets wholesaler Worldwide Confectionary is to occupy two units at Federated Hermes’ industrial park in Trafford.
Worldwide is to lease units 16 and 17 totalling 15,000 sq ft at Guinness Road Trading Estate under a 10-year lease, in the deal brokered by agency JLL.
Together with recent expansions and lease renewals, the 235,000 sq ft estate, which is part of Trafford Park, has only one empty unit remaining.
Existing tenant KBF Enterprises, a supplements and sports nutrition products supplier, last year signed to renew its lease on units 3 and 4 totalling almost 20,000 sq ft, while Gottlieb Packaging Materials, has renewed its occupancy of the 7,800 sq ft Unit 12 on a three-year lease.
Pastor John P. Schmidt left us to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born June 30, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Canada in August 1964. Here he began a ministry at Calvary Lutheran Church. Thunder Bay that spanned over 40 years. He served until retirement at the age of 80. Throughout his time at Calvary, Pastor Schmidt worked to spread the message of God’s love and encourage others to be “Windows of God’s Love” often including humour, the Green Bay Packers and Snoopy and Charlie Brown in his sermons.
Pastor Schmidt will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Carol, his four children and their spouses; Debbie and Alex Grant, Chris and John Whitehurst, Patti and Ken Rickards and John and Lori Schmidt, his grandchildren and their spouses, and great grandchildren, as well as his church family at Calvary. Many relatives including his sister Audrey in the United States will also miss him.
