PETROLIA – A service club in this town wasn’t sure how many residents would come out to its annual Easter egg community event – tweaked to keep people safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic – on the eve of another province-wide lockdown.
“We just thought we’ll be here and see what happens,” Kevin Storozuk, president of the 60-member Petrolia Lions Club, said Friday shortly after noon. “It looks pretty successful so far.”

The two-hour, drive-through-based event was slated to start at noon in the Greenwood Recreation Centre parking lot, but started about 15 minutes early due to a lengthy lineup of vehicles.
