Qld vaccine caution: Four bad reactions in 48 hours

Health Minister Yvette D ath said people who had experienced serious anaphylactic reactions in the past should delay getting the jabs. Other people without a history of anaphylaxis will be monitored for longer in the immediate aftermath of their vaccination. I want to assure people that we have complete confidence in our vaccines here in Australia, Ms D ath said. Queensland Health Director-General John Wakefield said there had been four cases of anaphylaxis in relation to the vaccine in the past 24 hours.

Another case of allergic reaction was reported in Western Australia. The reports prompted the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to announce a comprehensive review of coronavirus vaccine data to confirm the rate of anaphylaxis observed in Australia was consistent with the expected rate.
