The President of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC) has expressed concern about what he refers to as a weakness of the institutions of the three-nation conference, noting that most of them have died and that the remaining one is in a “precarious” condition.
The Holy Father, Pope Francis, has appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Pretoria (South Africa) the Rev. Fr. Masilo John Selemela, of the clergy of Tzaneen, currently Rector of the National Major Seminary of St. John Vianney, assigning him the titular See of Nachingwea.
