Samuel Sutton Jr. recalls the day he was traveling with President Bill Clinton and first lady Hillary Clinton by helicopter to meet with Englandâs Prime Minister Tony Blair in London for a couple of days. When they got off, Sutton helped unload 10 suitcases from the helicopter.
âMrs. Clinton asked me why we had all those suitcases,â Sutton said, laughing. âI told her I was just doing what I was told to do.â
The Clintons were one of three presidential couples, and several high-ranking military officers, for whom Sutton was a personal aide during his 32 years in the United States Navy.
