A week. This morning, stock futures in this country pointing towards a big selloff here when the markets open. Chinas 7 selloff wiped off value in just 15 minutes. Analysts say investors are reacting to the Chinese Government devaluing the un and what it signals that the economy may be doing worse than expected. On thursday, the same thing happened again. The first session lasted just 12 minutes before the index dropped by 5 . That was enough to halt trading for 15 minutes. Trading then resumed. I have a reading i show at readings. But tonight is a special night so i am going to do something different. And i want to tell stories a little bit more and, of course, i will do some readings. It is special we are at powells books, we are in oregon, astoria is nearby and we are also here with cspan so we have a national and oregon audience. I will tell stories and you may know some of them and may not some of the others. But i will start with how i came to this story. And actually, what is surprising about it is how this story was verywell known in its day.
