Another Garden Club member, Chris Barkdoll, suggests Caladium and Coleus, a shade loving, multi-colored, leafy ornamental plant that is planted in ground planters in front of the York County Judicial Center. Surrounding these plantings are sweet potato vine that will cover the soil in the big pots and shower over the edges, growing bushy as the summer evolves.
The plantings can be seen on Market, George and Beaver streets. The hanging baskets stretch from Royal Square to the WeCo district, west of the Codorus Creek.
While Downtown Inc. owns the planters, the Garden Club of York pays for the plantings and even contracts for them all to be watered early each morning before the city wakes up. Care will be provided all summer.

Signet Real Estate Breaks Ground On Senior Living Community In Partnership With The Village Of St. Edward

Signet Real Estate broke ground last week on a new 106 bed senior living facility in Wadsworth, Ohio in partnership with The Village of St. Edward. The $21.6 million project is the first phase of St Edward’s plan to expand their footprint as the demand for quality senior care begins to grow, and is slated to be completed in the fall of 2018.
We very much appreciate Signet, particularly working with their people, providing the opportunity for senior living alternatives for the people of the Wadsworth area.
