Fire protection for Whitecroft could be a year or two away as members of the community association meet with the TNRD and Sun Peaks Resort on the issue next month.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District director John Sternig said previous options have proven too costly for Whitecroft residents.
On the table this time is a proposal that would see Whitecroft rolled into the resort s fire protection area, he told The Daily News.
