WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – John Schlecht says an event planned for May 20th will hopefully help the small town of Wimbledon.
A native of Wimbledon, Schlecht says his idea for a Flea Market was created to help support the community he’s known his whole life. Over the years, the small town has experienced a lot of hardships they’ve had to bounce back from.
Schlecht says a steak night created 10 years ago by Jim & Jan Martin has helped the community by creating different opportunities for residents and visitors to experience. Money raised during the monthly steak night would later be used for playground equipment, a Veteran’s Memorial in town, and a legion club remodel.
