After 15 years at the helm of the Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO), Petra Stolba has passed the baton to Lisa Weddig on 1 June 2021.
Weddig (pictured above) is one of the top tourism managers in Europe, who has over more than 10 years of leadership experience in the industry, and had been the chief executive of TUI Austria since 2015.
“I am honoured to have been selected to run one of the most successful tourism marketing companies in the world for one of the most important tourism destinations in the world,” she said.
“Austria is a very strong brand that globally stands for the best quality in tourism and hospitality. I strive to strengthen and deepen that position of Austria, in a time when this task seems enormous, since tourism was one of the hardest-hit industries during the pandemic.
