why his conversation with an empty chair on stage stole the show. and celebrating robin s beloved mother. this morning we remember the radiant lucimarian roberts passing away overnight at the age of 88. her grace and strength inspired so many, and we have a special gma tribute this morning. and shouts of victory and good morning, everyone, and what a journey we are all on this week. lucimarian roberts passed away last night. a woman filled with so much joy, and all of you who were with us yesterday know that robin began her medical leave. an incredibly emotional day for all of us, but she wanted to get home. she wanted to get home a little bit early to say good-bye to her mom. she made it through the floods of hurricane isaac. she was by her mother s side. and lucimarian roberts, a woman who gave so much inspiration to so many, she brought so much joy to so many. we re going to remember her, and we are all thinking of robin this morning. indeed, we are, our friend
that frees up federal aid for those affected areas. as many as 700,000 people still do not have power. isaac is also being blamed for at least one death in the region. plaquemines parish in louisiana is one of the areas hardest hit by isaac. water overtopped a levee there, flooding hundreds of homes. the parish usually weathers storms pretty well, so many residents were caught off guard. we lost power around 10:00, listened to the radio some, drove around just to look at where the water levels are and didn t see water levels elevate. and then laid down for a little bit, had a phone call from parish saying get out, breeching the levee, flee. the storm is expected to weaken into a tropical depression today. for more, here s storm team 4 meteorologist tom kierein. right now it s thankfully still a tropical storm, but the terrible winds yesterday of 80 miles an hour are now down to 45 or 50 but they re still getting plagued with heavy rain now north and east of new orlean
