Report: EA Motive s Gaia Cancelled After Six Years in Development

Friday, February 26, 2021 EA recently held an internal review to decide which of their current projects would continue in development. According to Bloomberg, one of those that didn’t make the cut was Gaia, the Assassin’s Creed-style action game in development at Motive for the last six years. Development on this game has now been cancelled. Gaia began life back in 2015. After EA decided they wanted to expand into the action genre, Jade Raymond was brought on board to head development at the newly-created Motive studio.
