Mikko Oliver Nyyssonen, 70, began his final journey with his Lord and Saviour on January 19, 2021 after a courageous 5 year battle against aggressive Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Mikko was born on May 6, 1950 in Lahti, Finland, and grew up on the north side of Thunder Bay, previously Port Arthur. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science as a geological engineer (1974) and a Masters of engineering (1984) as a geotechnical engineer. He was a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario til his passing and had also been previously a member in BC and NWT.
