Kildare man disqualified from driving for 12 years

A man received concurrent twelve year driving bans at Naas District Court on April 15.
John Paul Collins, 31, whose address was given as Apartment 2, Block B, Rathbride, Kildare town was prosecuted for dangerous driving at the Brennan’s Maxol garage in Newbridge on May 7, 2018 and with having no insurance on August 22, 2018 at Mondello Cross, Kildare.
The court heard that the defendant came to the attention of the gardaí on one occasion when he turned away about 200 metres from a checkpoint and was followed by the gardaí, who suspected he was a disqualified driver. However the chase lasted only a couple of minutes and there was no dangerous driving.

The show has recently been running on Channel 10, and was hosted by Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer.
Channel 7, however, picked the show up for 2021, and will be running it as an All-Stars format, bringing back previous contestants.

Fifi, Fev & Nick lineup on Fox FM alongside Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody, placed second alongside dance partner Paul Green in the 2007 series which was taken out by Kate Ceberano and John-Paul Collins.
A number of Traveller organisations have called on Travellers to fully adhere to public health measures, including restrictions on funerals.
It follows a plea from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer earlier this week for people to respect the ten-person limit because of the number of large outbreaks throughout the country which have been associated with funerals.
There are currently 36 active outbreaks of Covid-19 in the Traveller Community, with 11 of them reported in the past week.
Traveller organisations say while they understand the importance of funerals to bereaved families, these families may not be in a position to get the message across, that it is okay to stay away.
