A PROMINENT SNP member in the Borders has been criticised for comparing the Conservatives to the mafia . In the recent Leaderdale and Melrose by-election for Scottish Borders Council, John PatonDay, of the SNP, was defeated by Scottish Conservative representative Jenny Linehan.
