Welcome back to this beautiful morning on this friday for fleet week friday. You just watch the parade of ships. This is a live look at the John P Murtha as it made its way underneath the bay bridge. We watched the john murtha there, followed by the uss Paul Hamilton and then two u. S. Coast guard cutters. There is nothing more spectacular than to watch them come through the Golden Gate Bridge lined up as they are welcomed into the San Francisco bay. We really lucked out with the weather. Last year, we were freezing. Today, the weather could not have been more perfect. If you are thinking about coming out to see the ships today or the airshow later on, it is a great day for it but if you cant make it out today, you can join us on cbs news bay area at 3 00 for the blue angels show. It will be amazing, especially because the weather is so great. You will be able to see everything. Here we go. Were in store for some even hotter temperatures than yesterday. A heat advisory will go into effect this morning. This is going to last for a couple of days. This is for the entire bay shoreline. Includes oakland, San Francisco, san jose, even the Santa Cruz Mountains, because some cities are going to see their hot day. So far this year, likely San Francisco and oakland, youre going to see upper 80s and lower 90s. Its a mild morning out there. Were in the 50s and the 6060 in the city. Were at 63 right now in oakland, 65 in san jose, 60. That current temperature in napa, we do not have a marine layer this morning. We have sunshine. Once that sun gets up here shortly after 7 a. M. The less people you have doing the same job, youre making more money, youre still charging the same to your patients, but youre not paying the labor to do so, right . So its hard. Were burning out. Were quitting employee swease say kaiser committed to hiring up to 10,000 more employees by the end of the year. They claim kaiser is behind on that commitment. Now, Kaiser Permanente declined to be interviewed, but in a statement to abc7 news, kaiser disputes that claim. The company says theyve met that goal and are looking to hire even more people. They also say theyve reached a tentative agreement on several other proposals, including wage increases. Thats important to note that the hospitals are open, the doctors are not on strike. We began in really uncharted territory, a serious crash has once again put self driving cars under scrutiny. This one started with a human driver who hit a woman, sending her into the path of a crews rebel taxi. She was then run over and pinned by the driverless car. This happened around 9 30 last night, in the crosswalk at market and fitch street, right after the traffic light had turned green. The woman is in the hospital, in Critical Condition. While crews was quick to clarify that their vehicle break and as it could, the accident is raising questions about how these cars respond in this complicated landscape, where they share roads with humans.
