Never too old: Meet the 80-year-old granddad who is abseiling down Croke Park for charity

John O’Rourke, fondly known as Mr Kay, in honour of his wife Catherine (Kay), is 80 years old. The father of three daughters, and grandfather of seven grandchildren, he has been living in Rialto, Dublin for 53 years. And while he retired from his job as a truck driver 15 years ago, he doesn’t like to sit still. To prove this, he is about to undertake a mammoth challenge and abseil down Croke Park on September 22 to raise funds for the charity which offered support to his daughter when she was going through cancer.
