Tata Chemicals appoints N S Tirumalai as new CFO

The board of Tata Chemicals has approved the appointment of Nandakumar S. Tirumalai as the chief financial officer and key managerial personnel of the company with effect from 1 April 2021.Nandakumar S. Tirumalai is currently the vice president (finance) with Titan Company. Meanwhile, John Mulhall will cease to be CFO of Tata Chemicals with effect from the end of 31 March 2021. Mulhall is transitioning into the role of managing director & CEO of Tata Chemicals North America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. Tata Chemicals is a global company with interests in businesses that focus on basic chemistry products and specialty chemistry products.

Here are the top stocks that are likely to be in focus today: Affle India: The company at its board meeting approved the fundraising of upto Rs 1,080 crore. IOC: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will invest Rs 32,946 crore to expand Panipat refinery capacity to 25 million tonne per year from 15 million tonne per year earlier. Auto stocks: Auto sales figures would start trickling in from March 1 onwards. Car and tractor makers are likely to report a strong set of auto sales numbers for the month of February, but growth in two-wheeler sales may not be as strong, according to analysts. Stock-specific action is expected in the auto companies on the back of these numbers.

Market pares gains; Nifty below 14,700

The equity barometers sharply pared losses in afternoon trade. The Nifty hovered between 14,600 and 14,700 levels. Investors booked profits during intraday trade. Media, auto and metal stocks were in demand. At 12:20 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, jumped 395.49 points or 0.81% at 49,495.48. The Nifty 50 index gained 115.55 points or 0.80% at 14,644.70. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.78% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index added 1.07%. The market breadth was strong. On the BSE, 1,800 shares rose and 1,059 shares fell. A total of 187 shares were unchanged. Derivatives: The NSE s India VIX, a gauge of market s expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 5.66% to 26.5475. The Nifty 25 March 2021 futures were trading at 14,737.05, at a premium of 92.35 points as compared with the spot at 14,644.70.

Spectrum in bands 700MHz, 800MHz, 900MHz, 1,800MHz, 2,100MHz, 2,300MHz and 2,500MHz available and analysts expect ow competition intensity as there is sufficient spectrum and that RJio/Bharti/VIL need to spend Rs 280b/Rs 129b/Rs83b at the reserve price to renew their existing spectrum.
