Take a look behind me, we can see the white dodge ram. Thats the suspect vehicle. It struck this car here at this intersection, and its in the process of being towed. We saw police take the man into custody after the chase and standoff ended. This all started just before 7 00, when a man driving the white dodge ram pickup truck crashed into an Oakland Police vehicle with an officer inside at 14th and harrison. That led to a chase on 580 eastbound. The man crashed into at least one other police vehicle. The driver got back onto 580, exiting in oakland, and driving into berkely. He crashed the dodge truck into at least one other vehicle at ashley and college. The husband of that crash victim says his wife is okay, just shaken up.
