A massive search for the killer of a Police Officer is underway morning. Police say 33yearold officer shawn bolton was conducting a multiple times. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. This is just a reminder of how dangerous this job is. You are talking about from what we know now routine traffic stop that results in an officer losing his life. Bolton is the third memphis officer to be fatally shot since july of 2011. Nearly 40,000 verizon workers will stay on the job without a new contract. The Union Representing workers from massachusetts to virginia threatened to strike if they didnt reach an agreement over benefits by midnight. Instead, negotiations will continue. Reporter andrea, police say the suspect is 25yearold austin stevenson. They tell us he escaped from the 23rd precinct after he was arrested for trespassing. Here is his picture. Police released it moments ago. They want everyone to be on the look out for him. We wanted to show you video of police scouring the area by 102nd street and park avenue. They are going to a number of buildings trying to find the suspect but they havent had any luck. Here is what we know. The escape happened at 3 00 outside the 23rd precinct. In the next few hours, two other shootings would take place here on lenox avenue. Police are investigating three separate shootings, all on lenox avenue. Overnight, officers monitored the scene on 139th street. Police using cups and bottles to mark bullet casings surrounding a parkc nobody was hurt at the scene. Two blocks away, on 142, two men shot. Police say a 24year old was taken to harlem hospital in stable condition. A second victim arrived at the hospital on his own, a short time later. Two hours earlier, at 1 44 p. M. , am lenox avenue, a 61yearold woman shot in the neck and killed. Police say the victim, odessa sims, was an innocent saturday night.
