BUSHNELL/PRAIRIE CITY During Wednesday’s Zoom meeting, the Bushnell-Prairie City Board of Education discussed the possibility of returning to school full time during the second semester.
Bushnell-Prairie City Superintendent Kathy Dinger said when she first talked about the second semester return to learning plan during the October school board meeting, the original plan was to have the second semester moved up from Jan. 13 to Jan. 6 with Jan. 4 and 5 as remote learning planning days for teachers.
Now, due to the increase of cases in McDonough County, Dinger said the start of the upcoming semester would be on the original Jan. 13 date with Jan. 12 as the remote planning day for teachers. She said the Jan. 13 second semester start would allow students time to do course recovery with the assistance of their teachers. The superintendent said teachers would not assign new projects or ass
