For 34 consecutive games, he lined up at right or left tackle for the University of Texas Longhorns and competed, usually dominating the competition across the line of scrimmage, relying on his physical skills. Washington drafted him in the second round of the 2021 draft. In Relative Athletic Score (RAS) testing, Cosmi scored a 9.99 RAS out of a possible 10.00. He said he’s ready to get to work, and it’s amazing to get drafted. He is going to give it his all 100% of the time. Cosmi describes himself as a mauler, and said if you beat him once, it won’t happen again. He is the most athletic OT in the draft, and it helps him play with more aggression and speed. Cosmi knows he has areas that can be improved, and he is excited to work with OL Coach John Matsko. He is comfortable playing both RT and LT, and he played both at Texas.

Washington swapping late round picks with Miami to bring Ereck Flowers back Ereck back Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports This came out of left field, but will make a lot of people in the fan base happy. Ereck Flowers was a reclamation project that worked out for Washington two years ago. He was a first round pick by the New York Giants that struggled at tackle. Washington signed him, and former OL/Head Coach Bill Callahan converted him to guard. He had a pretty good season on a pretty bad team and parlayed that into a nice payday from the Dolphins. He signed a 3-year, $30 million deal with a $9 million signing bonus. Flowers started 14 games last season.
