On this day in horror history, the horror-comedy cult classic
Killer Klowns from Outer Space was released in 1988. Written and directed by the Chiodo Brothers, it stars Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, and John Vernon.
It begins when teenagers see a comet crash outside their small town and investigate discovering a pack of murderous aliens who look like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. The teens then decide it’s up to them to stop the clowns’ bloody rampage.
